Balfron Women’s Race incorporating the Women’s Scottish RR Champs 2012

Vortex RT delivered a great event for the 2011 championships, and are doing it all over again on Sunday 20 May 2012 in Balfron.

We will have the Elite riders of Scottish road racing talent on display all through the day.

The ladies will start at 9:30am, riding the 11km circuit 6 times to finish outside Doyles cafe on Buchanan Street, Balfron. The mens will start at approx 12:30pm, completing 12 laps of the same circuit & using the same finish. We expect laps to be completed somewhere between 16 & 20 minutes, so there will be plenty to see in the village & refreshments available at Doyles.

The 2012 Womens event will not just be open to riders eligible for Scottish championships. The first 3 riders eligible will be issued with Scottish Championship medals, otherwise the race will be open to all women. Scottish Cycling info on eligibility.
